Lou Frenzel is a Contributing Editor for Microwaves & RF and Electronic Design Magazines where he writes articles, blogs, technology reports, ebooks, and online material on wireless, communications and networking as well as test and measurement. Lou has been writing for the magazines since 2000.

Formerly, Lou was a college professor and electronic engineer. He has more than 25 years of experience in the electronics industry, including VP positions at Heathkit and McGraw-Hill. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston and a master’s degree from the University of Maryland. He is author of more than 20 books on communications, computers and electronics subjects.

Lou Frenzel was born on Galveston Island, Texas, and currently lives with his wife Joan in Austin. He is a long-time amateur radio operator (W5LEF) and maker.
